Question by Masternachos: Regardless of anything else: Would having the Texas Rangers and Houston Astros both in the AL be a good idea?
I saw ‘regardless’ because I want you to not consider the effects of moving a team from the NL to the AL (for example, scheduling, interleague play, etc) or if you think ‘another’ team should move or not.
Just: Would having Houston and Texas in the same league (and same division) be good, bad or neither?

it doesnt bother me in the slightest. what bothers me more is that some divisions have 6 teams and others have 4. not fair. just because two teams are in the same state doesnt mean they cant be in the same conference.

What do you think? Answer below!

    Yes

These are the current distances to the closest team in their division right now:
Houston to St Louis = 800 miles
Arlington to LA = 1400 miles

Neither has a natural rivalry (or anyone close to them for that matter). It would be good to try to create a rivalry between the two and to give them a bit of a break on travel for away division games.
