Question by : Who will the Milwaukee Brewers sign in free agency or trade for this offseason?
With large holes inevitable at first base when Prince Fielder leaves, also on the left side of the infield at shortstop and third base, and some holes in the bullpen, who might the Brewers look to sign or trade for this offseason?

Until and unless otherwise advised, the Brewers will sign Fielder as a free agent.

If they don’t sign Fielder, which is probably the case, I think they should sign Michael Cuddyer or Carlos Pena. Pena has a lot of power, and just needs to get on base more. Cuddyer has 20 homer power, and can hit for a good batting average. For the bullpen, the Brewers need to sign K-Rod. If they don’t, they should sign another good closer like Joe Nathan or Heath Bell.

They may look at Jose Reyes, I can see them signing Carlos Pena as a replacement at first unless they deem Mat Gamel MLB-ready. I think their lineup and starting rotation looks pretty good all the way around, maybe they should look at Aramis Ramirez to replace Casey McGhee. I’m sure Brewers fans would love lording that over to all the Cubs fans at Wrigley North.
